Spider family by griffsnuff Spider family by griffsnuff
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I just noticed my kitchen spider is a mommy! So cute! 8D you can see the mommyspider there to, if you look closely!

...why do you have a kitchen spider?...............

OK So a few moths ago?? I noticed a spider had made a web on my pitcherplant, and I didnt have the heart to move it xD so I guess I just let it stay? The web kept getting ruined when I had to move some of the plants it had attatched the web to, to water them. It kept rebuilding the web so I kind of got used to it just being there.

HAVING SO MANY PLANTS I am very bugged by those tiny black plant flies laying eggs and ruining my plants new roots D<. But this guy has been eating them! So its my plant caretaker! Today I noticed lots of tiny spiders there! So I guess it had babies! 8D so adorablee! I will let them be there. I love spiders, and they take care of my plant fly problem!

I just wanted to share this. xD

I would wish that I wasn't afraid of spiders. I mean, they are so beautiful, they make wonderful creations, are amazing, adaptable and very useful and helpful animals, but when I see one, my brain freezes and I am so terrified that I begin to studder and scream and it's awful. Just by looking at this, I get goosebumps. If I just wasn't afraid of them, then I could have them in my plants and draw them and use their marvellous colours for designs.
There's nothing as amazing as seeing nature unfold, and baby animals are wonderful to get to see near you. I am happy that someone appreciate the spiders this much!

So, you've posted a couple of spider pictures, so I don't know if you would find this interesting or not, but this is a video of a 3D printed robot-spider and I thought of you when I saw it :P  www.youtube.com/watch?feature=…

Nature works a very simple way, if there is a lot of prey, predators grow, when predators grow, prey dies out, and when prey dies out, so does predator, and the cycle starts all over again. So its impossible to have a predator  infestation unless you have like million flies

OH MY F----I was like, how can you tell which of those little tiny thingies is the mommy? Is she fatter? :bucktooth: And then I looked in the corner.....I would die if that thing was anywhere near me. Little ones don't bother me so much, but the big ones....eeeehhh!!! o_o I wish I could live in peace with spiders. Sometimes when I see daddy long legs in the shower, I leave them because those ones don't bother me. I actually think spiders are pretty cool, and they can be beautiful--BUT I JUST CAN'T TAKE THEM sometimes D:

We can get some pretty big spiders, though typically Wolf Spiders - which freak me out.

I love spiders too! I never kill them. I know they're good to have around so I always let them go back outside if I don't want them in. I used to have a spider live up in a corner of my windowsill and it always ate the annoying flies that creeped in. Good things to have around, spiders. :)

best way is to look it up on google. Ive only had a pitcherplant recently so for that you just let it stand in water 24/7

And reading you say you didn't have the heart to move it is so awesome because everytime I say something like that, or how adorable it is that my pal spider had babies, everyone looks at me with this very weird look on their faces! >:V

What an intersting thing - so many people on dA try to get attention by submitting their art and so often fail to interest others or at least talk with them for a while. And here You are, with a bunch of webs and little spider family.
And poof! Discussion never ends. You know what I think? Its only natural - we cannot create anything more beautiful than nature itself. Nothing can compare to the beauty of the endless circle of life. That's just our nature, as a part of it.
You should care for them. It's really nice that there are people who actually care. We are a part of the world and we should appreciate it. It doeasn't matter if one actually fear or love these creatures. They fear us too. And they mean no charm. I myself am afraid of spiders (and more precisely, of webs) and yet I always respect these tiny entities.
It's really heartwarming to meet others who think the same.
