Had to take a picture of these together xD

the slate in the background I got for free at a kitchen and bathroom store xDD I was like Can I buy your sample D8< and they were like PFFF you can have it for free. YAAAY FREE LARVIKITE in epic quality <333 It has a blank base paint htingy over it so it is extra contrasty, you can see the tiny one in the foregrount it is raw, but if you wet it it will look like the one in the background :D

I bought that tastey smokey citrine and sphere flourite today <3 Others I just added to keep em company xD

I told my Granny that I want my gravestone to be make of Larvikite x3 she says I'm thinking too far ahead but it's never bad to be prepared ^^

Ahh these are so pretty, especially that sphere flourite  My collection isn't as colorful since it's mostly petrified things (Wood, palm root, and dinosaur bone) Prettiest one I have color-wise is a small blue agate xD

I bought some of mine at gift shops (museum, zoo, and aquarium shops normally have them). You can usually get some colorful agates (Which are like the big flat stone in the front and I believe the light blue in the back of snuff's pic) and various small stones at places like that at a pretty cheap price, and they can come in all kinds of colors. Rarer things/cut and polished stones are usually more expensive, depends on the type of stone it is.

I actually have a decent sized collection of these sort of stones and crystals, and I'm in love with that icy looking rock in the back. I need to know what it is!!

I don't know if you believe in healing crystals and stuff, though. I'm not HUGE into it, but I always feel a real calming sensation around stones of all sorts, like energies, you know? It sounds crazy to some, but I think everyone has something that they feel a lot of positive energy from!

Yeah I may not believe in most of it but I do know when you hold something round and heavy as hell theres just something that feels very right xDD its like you cant put it down. and I am just so very facinated with how they are made and how they fit into the world of geology :la:

that blue candle holder is an agate crystal I believe :3 same as the one laying on the ground just having more crystal formations in it ^^

I have to take a new photo of my whole collection again since ive gotten a lot since last time i did it xD

I generally don't believe in the healing properties of rocks specifically, but I think that you can will things into existence, you know? Like selenite, for example, is a stone that absorbs negative energy and is very purifying. My friend has a lump of it and whenever she gets very stressed out she holds it and it relaxes her, and I think that's more because she believes that it will take away that negativity! It's the power of your mind, you know?

But I agree with you, some things you just feel so happy holding onto! Not just in geology, but nature stuff itself! There's always just so much wonder.

Ahhh, agate is one of my favorite stones, especially blue agate! The polished stones have such pretty patterns and I just...ahhh, I need one of these crystals!

DO IT I WANT TO SEE!!
