Oh hey! Our school preformed the play last year, and I was in it! The cast learned how to fold from my art teacher, and then we passed on our crane-folding skills to the Visual Art students and the Drama students, who slaved away making more cranes. In the end, we strung them and hung them in the theater lobby for the month of the performance. By myself, I ended up making, like, 250+ cranes. That's when I stopped counting. And in total, I think we had about 1,500. it was a lot of fun!
Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes? Great painting, very detailed. I would never be able to mix the paints well enough to get the right colours and saturation. Did you also paint the rest or is it a photo with a posterize filter?
We tried this with our Grade 5 class! I still remember how to make those I think we got to around 500 or something by the end of it... we were always making them during class and hanging them from the ceiling
Lol oh good, but where are they all gonna go? Once from a book I read last summer, this boy was making 100 cranes out of paper and card, it said if you hang 100 White cranes in his bedroom that it would bring luck and wealth. It was very interesting, the description in the book gave me Influence to try it but my two cranes looked a little on the spaz side so I didn't want to make any more... But it skinds amazing what you are doing, how many do you have to make each?
AGH your painting is amazing! Seriously, I don't think I could make my paintings look that good if I tried... but then again I've barely painted at all in my life. I like the way it's not overworked; it has a painterly, brushstroke-y feel to it.
I have a question ^^ Ive noticed that whenever you take pictures and post them on here, there's always those...well like, around the edges the colors are..gah! I dont know how to explain it..>.< Like, it looks like you colored some of it in on the computer or something..So...my question is, do you do that on purpose? And if so, why? Sorry if that doesnt make sense XD
